i wouldnt take under a hundred for mine at about 4 inches.

over here in n.e. ohio they go for 30 to 40 and then some when there the size of a dime

I don't know what is going on with these fish but about a year ago you could find them for 25 each at the lfs. now they want 50 here for a barely 1 inch fish. I asked the guy if he would sell the bigger one that was like 6-7 inches and he said i don't have enough money. so I'm guessing he either wanted a ton or it just wasn't for sale. any way i have been looking and I found 3- 3inchers and paid 50 each, and they were nice and colorful not faded. Not too sure if anyone is breeding these that much anymore that's why the price hike or if it's something else.

if your looking for just 1 with good genes and cheap.. its hard.... but i highly recommend going to allthingsdempsey or EBJDforum and get in touch with the breeders....

Also, if your in the new england area.. i think Jeff Repps has good ones in NJ..

you should def trying him first.. and those have good genes.. at $25ea
