How delicate are these guys, really. Keep hearing rumours about how they are like discus. Or, is it only when they are young?

Very fragile & rarely make it to adults

I have 3 adults between 4.5 and 7'', never had a ebjd die on me actually.(knock on wood) I think they are very hardy and grow up similar normal jacks. All depends on if you find a good batch. A store by me has 3 sizes to pick from so I know they have good genes. Hardier than clown loaches that is for sure.
