Ebjd ????

Can someone explain the difference between Ebjd and jds? Will ebjds get along with a jaguar or is that just a fight waiting to happen?

EBJD are a genetic morph of the regular JD. The electric blue gene is recessive, and if you breed an EBJD with a regular JD, all of the resulting fry would be carry the blue gene, but none would show it from a phenotypical standpoint. EBJD grow very slow compared to Jags, so I wouldn't think they would work too well in a tank together. Many people also believe that EBJDs are less aggressive than normal JDs, although I haven't found that to be the case IME.

Well mine is very brilliant blue in color so iam assuming that it is a Ebjd . I also was wondering if it is possible that my jag and Ebjd would breed.

No yours isnt a Ebjd your is just a Jd have look on Google etc at Ebjd's, as for breeding depending what sex your Jag is they might pair up but i wouldnt want them to breed on purpose tbh becasue then you have a cross.

Yes, yours is a just a nice male JD, but not an EBJD.

I hope they will get along ok . What are the chances that will happen, they are both males, the Jag is about 10 inches, and the jd is around 3.5 to 4 inches and the only other tank mate is a 9 inch Pleco.In a 125 gal.
