Here are some pics of my EBJD. I can't tell what this is I was wondering if you guys can help me out. It doesn't act strange or anything like not eating or rubbing but it kind of looks like the scales may be falling off. The side fins are starting to redden around the base. My nitrite are zero and nitrates are at about 20 ppm. None of the other fish seem to have signs of the same condition.

It could have one of these diseases (as to which one I don't know):

-Ammonia Poisoning
-Curved Spine
-Fin Rot (He most likely has this disease)

Does he bump into things? I would do a 35%-50% water change...whatever disease he may have its probably due to poor water quality.

No he does not bump into things. Is there any medicine I should be giving it? Does fin rot also affect the sides of the fish?

who is in the tank with him.. what are the water perimeters.. if he isn't scaping on a rock or object i rule out ick.. but he could have a another parasite causing an external infection ... before med can be used you should rule out some causes..but you can always safely use aquarium salt{according to directions--size of tank etc} because salt helps with healing and fighing infection and also helps relieve stress which is the number one killer of fish..Symptoms: Lethargy, increased respiration, loss of appetite, skin hemorrhages, are serious and need medication.. are any of these symptoms present in the fish presently?

He acts completely normal with no signs of symptoms. The nitrites are 0ppm and the nitrates are about 20ppm. I use salt religiously every week after a water change. I use as much as needed for the replaced water and I do around a 50% water change. I don't know the other parameters at the moment but can have them posted by tomorrow if needed.
