Sorry but I don't agree... ebjd's get picked on a lot by most any fish and they are not aggressive at all so they get stressed out very easy... Firemouths can be very aggressive and will pick on their tank mates a lot... IMO I would not trust it, but I love my little guys to put them in harms way!!!! lol

Firemouths tend to be all bark and no bite. I raised and bred them for about two years and this was my observation of the species as a whole. Now that is not to say there aren't firemouths that are complete terrors (I did have some terrors of my own), but its pretty uncommon to find a firemouth that will bully its tankmate. That is where plenty of hiding space comes in. If the OP is concerned about it, they can get the EBJD(s) and grow them out a bit before adding firemouths that are 1/2 the current size of the EBJD(s).
