So I finally have my 135gallon setup with all my pleco's in it, 7" common, 5" rhino, 4.5" L001, 4" BN..Question is, I'm thinking of getting 10-15 EBJD's, would they be a good or would they pick on the pleco's too much? I do plan on selling some of them once they get larger and going to keep the rest, so they all won't be in this tank for life.

yeah should be fine IME most cichlids will ignore bottom dwelling fish if there are other cichlids in the tank

Sounds great, now I just need to wait for the fish to get here and I'll find out if they do good or not. Thanks for the replies.

Hope to see pics of your EBJD's

:iagree: never seen pics of a whole school of them before only the one or 2 some people get, a big school of them would look AWESOME:headbang2

I've kept Blue Dempseys and Plecos together at multiple stages/sizes for each... never had any problems...

Keeping a school of Blue Dempseys together may prove a little more difficult...

I've bought 8~12 several times and raised them together as a group. They do great until they reach sexual maturity. Then a pair breaks away from the group and claims a large section of the tank, then another pair breaks off and claims a large portion of the tank... before you know it you have a bunch og dead/stressed Blue Dempseys...

But until they reach sexual maturity they are adorable!
