Planted some of this (Echinodorus amazonicus-Amazon sword) in my Angelfish tank. I'm not doing anything special to it (co2,fertilizer, special light, etc..) The plants are healthy but the old largest leaves are starting to yellow, the young new leaves are growing and doing great. Is this an adjustment to the tank, or should I expect the whole thing to die soon. Do I need to do something special for them ? They have only been planted about two weeks.
Thanks for any help -
B

Amazons are often grown out of the water, and when submerged will lose all of their leaves. Not to worry, new leaves will grow in to fill out the space. These swords need a vast area to send their roots though.

Like many plants, they shed old leaves and grow new ones. doesnt necessarily mean its dying
