Hey. i want something that isn't expensive (u decide the range), but is great for waching eat feeders, and can fit in a 55. it could be something that will grow bigger, as long as its slow growing. I don't want it to be dependent on feeders, but accept them when offered. doesn't have to look flashy.
 
oscars seem to like feeders and ive never seen them turn down a pellet, i personally think they look good and they are readily avaiable and cheap.

no reg. cichlids. thats what i'm trying to get away from
 
Payara would probalby not be a good idea, touchy little beggers.
How about a warmouth, they love guppies and gambusia but are not very picky about food. They can get them here.http://www.jonahsaquarium.com/fishlist.htm

looks to much like something i cach localy. something slighly more exotic

P.S. How do wolf fish stach up aginst payara hunting wise?
 
dats are slower growers and would be a good grow out in a 55 some snooks are slower growers but if you can find a dat that would be a good fish for the tank get a couple if you find them frp and tfd have some now
 
red bay snooks or swordspine snooks... i love swordspines
