I'm looking for less expensive version of the typical dual later padding used in drip trays prior the water passing through the bioballs of a sump. Any ideas?

My fish store sells it off a giant roll. I buy ten feet at a time (it's 2' wide) at $2 a foot. It's certainly cheaper than what you can get at a Petsmart or the like.

same here. i also used that poly fill fiber stuff from walmart. a big bag is less than $10. its in the arts/crafts section with the pillow fill

I also recommend pillow stuffing.

You can also get it at Michael's or other craft stores for like $2.99 for a big bag.

Maybe a few pennies more...but they don't abuse their returning reservists and other employees like Wal-Mart does.

swampcooler pads ftw
