So, as some of you know I'm selling my 36gal but i honestly don't see why i can't have a small tank that i can keep for the meantime that i can "pack up" if and when i move out of state...anyway. Basically I want to have two dwarf puffers in a fully planted 5 gallon tank. However, I have no experience with puffers. I have read a lot but ya never know, i'm most likely missing some crucial factor. I have a heater and everything. The substrate will be SeaChems flourite black sand. Plants...green temple (since i still have some XD), perhaps baby tears and any suggestions? I'm afraid to do CO2 because of how small it is...any ideas on how to regulate the CO2 output?

Anyway, let me know what you guys think :D

here's a link of the tank: http://www.ecoxotic.com/catalog/product/view/id/96/s/eco-pico/category/3/

It's a bit pricey, but I WANT it!!!

thats just like my gf's fluval chi I got her, except i like the fluval better, its soothing with the waterfall on the top

nice i was thinking about getting one to have one next to my computer monitor. my lfs has one a complete setup with a seahorse and a small clown fish in it for 100$

Two dwarfs in a five gallon isn't a good idea. I have two in my 10 and they fight for territory.

@ tom: Wow, wish i could see it!
^ darn, well i didn't want to keep just one...but i really want one XD So will one be ok on it's own?

I have an Ecopico with Substrate, plants, and filter it is about 4.1 gallons of water, if you use the Stock filter (its crap BTW) your going to need to make(steal or Buy) a spray bar for just about anything you stick in there. I actually Stuck a Homemade Corner Sponge in it for the Crowntail that currently inhabits it.

You will basically need at least 3 dwarfs in a 10G to be safe... with a mix of 1 M to 2F to cut down on aggression etc...
