After having troubles with their L1 model it looks like the L2 has been out for a couple of months now.
Has anyone had the nerve to step up to the plate and give them another chance?
Anybody have experience with the updated L1 model that they produced near the end of that production run? They claim most of the issues were sorted out before they started making the L2.

The Red Dragon and Abyzz look like much better DC pumps but kind of hard to justify that extra cost, especially if you're considering running two pumps.

Hear good and bad about L1 and L2 , don't really have any experience with them , running a jebao but one of these days I am going to pick up a dragon or abyzz

Despite the fact my L1 died a little over a year, I would consider the L2 (I've not looked into that since I've got no tank LOL). The Red Dragon and Abyzz are nice, but I wonder if I'm better off buying 10 Jeboa's and swap them out when they die. Not that I would want to that regularly, but you get what I mean.

I think more reefer/saltwater folks use the Vectra for the ability to change flow patterns - especially for closed loop circulation. I use the L1 for CLC, but I keep it on constant.

After thinking about this long and hard I just couldn’t bring myself to buy a Vectra with it’s bad track record. I tried to talk myself into it but wasn’t able to. I ordered a new Red Dragon this morning.

So if anyone needs a new Reeflo just me know. It was just too much of a pump for what I’m doing.

It's a gold Hammerhead/Barracuda hybrid with both impellers and extra new seal.

I bought it two years ago when I started gathering parts for my 300 build. It first saw water a week or so ago when I started testing my system.

I didn't think to check which impeller was installed when it was shipped. It turned out to be the Hammerhead. It looked like two fire hydrants in my tank! LOL
