One of the sand dwellers, these are undemanding fish as long as you remember to provide areas of sand and mellow tank-mates.
Ectodus sift sand for food, but are otherwise less bound to the bottom. They will cruise in mid-water like Cyps. Front angled lighting is needed to properly show off their reflective coloration. The race we raise is found at Ndole Bay and has more yellow in the dorsal fin. Fry come from a mix of wild and F-1 stock.
