Ahhh..Should work as long as the eel is bigger and thicker in body proportion.

If the fire eel is at its max size and in bulky built, the ornate will be fine. Not sure about the two endli species. Ask this question in Polypterus forum for better answers.

my tire track eel and polyornate bichir dont seem to bother each other yet. both are about 5 inches. i'm sure i'll have to be carefull in the future but for now they seem to be hang out buddies.

Delhezis may be in danger with a full grown Fire Eel, but Ornates and Endlis or big and thick Polys should be fine.

if the eel was full grown the del would have to be a very bulky fish not to get eaten......... with the ornate and endlis as long as it was full grown should be fine.....
