Eel help!

Hey! What is the biggest eel that could fit in my 20 gallon tank? i saw that peacock eels got to about 12 inches in size which seemed sweet. Would a peacock eel be okay in a 20 gallon? What i dont want is to buy a small eel that has no personality, never comes out, is afraid of me/does not like to be hand fed,does not eat well/picky eater. So any eels you think would be good for me?

Peacock is probably a bit too big for it but some of the slightly smaller ones that would do well are the zigzag eel and Macrognathus Pancalus. They get to be about 6-8 inches full grown and I have heard of many being very social. I have also heard of many being shy. It really depends on your eel. Another note about the zigzag eel and the macro, they are very sociable with their own kind so you could possibly have a couple without running into the problem of overcrowding...depending on what else is already in your tank.
