Eel ID?

What kind of eel is this, it was sold as a spiney eel, but im not quite sure if thats right. I got two, the bigger one is 5" and the smaller is 3" both very thin. But started eating bloodworms as soon as i got them in my tank.
How fast do they grow (inch per month)?

Definitely a spiny eel species (Mastacembelidae), and I'm thinking maybe an Aethiomastacembelus sp.

i dont know never seen that reddish color in spiny eels, its definitely a spiny eel that looks alot like the zigzags but that reddish coloration is throwing me off haha

as far as inch/month im not sure my tiretrack i got at 6 inch in like april and in august it was 9-10 and ate very well so thats should give u an idea of how fast they grow

I say half banded/ zig-zag eel I think the red in more internal. the anal fins are tranparent like the zig zag simular spotting along the body lining the anal fin.

Very nice pattern on your guy, almost reminds me of a sea horse for some reason.
