Pretty much any info you can find on the striped peacock or just peacock eel will apply to these also. They are peaceful, can be hard to get them to eat sometimes. I feed all frozen foods such as bloodworms, tubifex, mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and glass worms. I have some striped peacocks and I have never seen them eat yet and I have had them for about 4 months. They must eat though because their alive and their weight looks great. They hide a lot. If want an eel that doesn't hide so much if you have a large enough tank I would recommend a tiretrack. I have one of these and he is great!!! As for water conditions as with most fish they can adjust to conditions outside optimum if acclimated. For mine though temp is 78, and Ph about 7.4.
