Eel medication

Hi guys, some of you may be aware that I picked up a “Congo” eel - mastacembelus congicus, I’ve struggled to get it feeding, however, he will eat and actively hunt feeder shrimps, however the last few days I’ve noticed it’s very red inside his gills (not sure if it has always been like that) and when he goes to attack the shrimp he will bite it but let go as if it hurt?

question is what medication could I give that eel friendly as I think it could be parasite or something else? Luckily he is in a QT tank!

Try half dose of prazipro.

Yes. This was one was for levamisole.

Yes. This was one was for levamisole.

so it’s been a few weeks since I medicated, a big improvement, feeding on whole earthworms readily.cheers!
