Eel Recommendations

Hey guys, any eels for a 40 gallon? im planning to get some south american american cichlids like Rainbows Cichlids, Blue Acara Cichlids ( more peaceful cichlids) so ya any suggestions

I know next to nothing about fw eels, all my knowlege is with sw morays. A 40 gal seems a little small for an eel unless you plan to get a small one and grow him out a bit.

Peacock eel might be good; relatively small size and mild temperament. Not sure though, just a thought.

best eel options in general are sw. Nothing too interesting in fresh unless you can get g. polyuranodon You can probably do golden dwarf moray if you go salt.
