My 7" fire eel hasn't eaten anything in a week it seems. It normally eats strictly chopped earthworms, which it ate as soon as they hit the bottom. But now the eel wont swallow its earthworm. Its like it tries to eat it but then just spits it out. I tried giving it smaller chunks but it wont even touch those and it wont touch other foods either. The eel is still very active, especially at night, and looks perfectly healthy (good color, still a good body size, not thinning out, not working to breath). It just refuses to swallow is all, and I'm worried. Any advice on what could be wrong, or what I should do, would be much appreciated. I've tried feeding it in the light, the dark etc... nothing seems to be working. I did a wc and cleaned the sand today, hoping some fresh water would spur on hunger pangs. no such luck.
