Totally random question spurred by my dad (who has dived) freaking out when I told him I bought an eel which grows to 3 feet.

Freshwater spiny eels don't have teeth teeth (remembers previous snakehead) right? Just those inner throat teeth plates?

Thanks

If they do have teeth, they are extremely small, because my eel bites me (on accident) all the time and it doesn't hurt. Though it scares the crap out of me when I'm not expecting it.
