Ok so I have had one of these so called "Freshwater Morays" for about 8-9 months, and he is in a brackish tank by himself. Now two months ago I moved his him and his tank into my sons room. Ever sence then, he wont eat. He used to eat feeder shrimp, frozen market shrimp, feeder fish, squid, etc. And now he just wont eat. He hasnt ate anything sence he's been in there. I dont know whats wrong. Is he lonely or somthing?

He might be, however they are solitary in the wild IIRC. I tried feeding mine several different items before I found frozen prawn to be the perfect meal for him. He eats it very readily. Try feeding him those, or with tongs or long tweezers - they normally eat live food in the wild so it moving increasing their chances of taking it.

What size tank is he in now?

What size was he in before, and what were his tankmates? Outta curiosity, why did you seperate him?

He is in a 30 right now. I moved him out of my room and into my sons room b/c he liked that tank/fish the most. He is by himself also. Ive tried to put stuff infront of him. I used to hand feed him everyday. Or well unless it was some feeders. I think its crazy how long he has went. I have been trying to find him a home, and I have now, but I want to make sure he eats before I let him go.

I have come across this with a snowflake eel once, and it sounds like either 1 of 2 things that his comfort spot(his hole or tunnel) has changed. Maybe his water is not stable. How is the salt levels, steady? Some times when I first started with brackish during water changes the salinity level did not match and ph. Fluctuation especially if you moved it from big tank, (great water quality, very stable) to small tank with less stability then you have to really make sure that you match the water quality before refiling your tank. Check PH on small new tank does not have buffer capability of a 150 gal 0r 300 gal . but this is a just a guess maybe??

It's probably just a comfort thing, maybe one of it's hiding spots was disturbed or something when the tank was moved. I'd consider adding a couple of other areas it could hide in like a piece of pvc or whatever.
