effect on kok?

scientifically,and based on your experience,...what are the effects in the kok of an fh if:

1.it is with a female,either as it's pair or just in view(in a separate tank)
2.there is a male in view(in separate tank or in same tank with divider)

Female in view head will shrink... Male in view the dominant fish's head will grow.

so it would be better if the fh would have no other fh in sight or view?
