I use a combo of "Tetra Veggie 2 in 1" pellets, and Hikari floating carnivore sticks as my staple food. Both of these come in ziplock-like packages which always end up failing or being tough to reseal after a couple weeks of daily use. I would prefer to just transfer the foods into a real ziplock that doesn't suck, but I am unsure of the effects light or other factors the ziplock wouldn't protect it from would have on the food or nutrient content.
Anyone have experience with this?

Thank you

Not sure what the effects of light are, but for what its worth, I store my food in a large plastic Tupperware-style container. It sits in a room in my basement that has no windows, and thus, is not exposed to any light, other than when I take it out to feed.

I don't see ambient light being an issue.. however direct sunlight may be? I keep all my food in the tank stand cabinet so it doesn't see a whole lot of light. As long as it's in an airtight bag/container that's not baking in the sun, I think it'll be just fine..
