Eggs so soon????

I have a breeding pair of convicts and they had a batch of fry about a month ago and the female has already laid eggs and the male fertalized them. So i was wondering if it is normal for them to breed when their previous batch of fry arent even half an inch and are still in the same tank as the parents. Thanks.

If you order a pair of convicts on line, you will get 2 adults and a handful of fry when they arrive.
