I haven't posted in quite a while but ive still been keeping cichla. I have a pair of monos in my tank with several other cichla, a silver arowana and a sun catfish. The pair have laid eggs in the corner, and I am unsure of what to do with them now. I would like to hatch them but I have never bred any cichlids before. What is the best plan of action? Thanks.

Read through tongue 33 's old threads it goes pretty much step by step.I have not had that oppertunity myself but look forward to it!!!!

Go to the breeding section and search in that section "breeding peacocks" and there should be a thread that is 4th from the top and it has alot of info about breeding pbass. I would post the link but in the past it hasnt been working lately. How big is the pair? Any pics?

The female is a little under a foot, and the male is just a little bit smaller. I could definitely get some pics up later, they look very colourful and much darker than normal right now, and at times will even try and get at me through the glass when I am too close.

lol just wait till you put your hand or a net near there, thats the fun part lol:D
my female has destroyed 4 nets now lol

What species is pairing off?

They are both monos I believe. I will post some pictures in a minute or two. The catfish ate all of the eggs that I left in the tank but I managed to separate about a third of them into another tank. I am not sure yet if they are viable or not though.
