To start off I have a cold, than the same day I get a cold My internet starts having lag spikes where for about 10 seconds its nice and smooth than it will lag ( keeps doing it... ). So I called brighthouse and they said that my modem is fine and there is no reason I should be lagging like this and it must be my computer. Well My computer was 1,400$ and was custom built ( by my friends brother ) to do exactly what I use the computer for ( games,internet,memory, etc... ) And its only a year old.. So he tells me that its not my internet tis my computer thats having problems.... How is my 1 year old computer having problems when 3 days ago it was perfectly fine, i dident even do anything to it in the past 3 days...

Sorry for this I'm just having a horrible weekend and needed to type it out...

O yea, Also my tv turns off every 4 mins and its not on a timer.. so i'm just waiting till my filters stop running ( it will happen watch... )

run an adaware finder like lavasoft's adaware program ( http://www.lavasoft.de ) or spybot (can't remember the site but download.com might have it or just google spybot), also, it wouldn't hurt to give the harddrive a defragging. But also ISP's like to lay blame on everything but themselves. So after trying the adaware finder and defragging, if it's still acting up, give the modem a reboot (unplug for a minute or so and then plug back in), if that doesn't work call'em up and give'em hell.

This week's been pretty crappy on this end too, spotted pike characin died, convict got tore up last night by the other cons and baby jag, mom's parrot died, hampster died, and roommate left, all since Sunday.

Agreed, run 2 or more spy-ware programs/anti-virus programs and it should fix you right up.

I have norton antivirus and i was defragging my comp but we lost power ( figures ). I have no viruses, but I will try that thanks guys

And the spybot found like 400 something infected files, but it said for it to clean them i have to pay.

Norton Anti-Virus is actually a pretty bad program to detect spyware and adware.......i personally hate it and use Windows Defender.......I try and get another program and scan your computer again.........
