Eheim 2026 Canister problems

I've had it for a while now, a little over a year maybe. Well, the flow rate has dropped considerably and I can't figure out why.

I've changed the white pad at the top once, when it needed changing again, I just ditched it. That didn't make a difference. I clean out the other pad regularly. The pads and media are definitely not the problem.
I've cleaned out the hoses.
I've cleaned out the pump head by removing the impeller and shoving the brush down it.

None of this has made a difference.

Anyone have a similar experience? I don't want to have to replace the pump head as I can buy an XP3 for the same price.

Why would you?! Doesn't the 2026 come with a 3-year warranty? Call Eheim!

Yes, Eheim is fantastic on their warrantee. I had a pump head go just before the end of the warantee and they overnighted me a new one.

Definitely contact EHEIM @ www.EHEIM.com for warranty issues. They want to keep a customer for life and they will do the right thing.

Did you have to send your pump head back first? Or after the new pump arrived? I'm having a similar problem with my eheim 2217 and I don't want to have to buy a temporary filter to hold all my media.
