EHeim 2026 for Polishing in Sump

I currently have an old Pro 2026 in my 75 gallon sump for extra polishing. I just left the stock filter pads and Eheim media in it. What would be better to stock it with to polish the water? THanks.

Lower ppi pads or even blue bulk filter padding, just cut it to fit! Use your sump for bio, I would just put the can on the tank tho, if the sump fails you will have no filtration.
