I have a 125g tank that I want to get a canister for. The tank is a in-wall design that seperates a living room from a dining room, therefore the canister filter will be the only source of filtration, no HOB's to accompany for aesthetic reasons. I had hoped to build a wet dry, but due to space issues underneath the cabinet, I don't think that is realistic, and I don't want an overflow box to hang off anyways.
I've found the 2250 for 199 online, vs the 249 for the 2028, and I am unsure why its cheaper, since it seems superior in gph and volume. I'm thinking the difference is due to the 2028's basket design which simplifies use. Which is a better choice? For those who think the 2028 is a better choice, what about compared to the 2260 which I can get for 249, which is the same price as the 2028? Simplicity is not an issue for me, I want the best filtration, not ease of use.
stock list:
12" oscar
8" female texas (fully grown)
8" tinfoil barb
5" oscar
4" firemouth (fully grown)
4" midas
