OK, so I picked one up today with all the media really really cheap.

Can I run both intakes into a 1" pipe? I don't mean two 1" intakes, I would connect them both to one pipe with a "Y" connector.

Can I hook the output to a 1" pipe?

thanks

Howdy,

Not sure what you're trying to achieve, but any plumbing is possible. Remember that the thinnnest part is the bottleneck, which is where the hoses enter the filter. Increased hose diameter won;t do much to your flow.

Besides, I strongly recommend that you search this forum for my name and 2080 to find some ways to improve mech filtration on this filter.

I do not have room under the tank for the filter, so I will have it to one side. I only want one intake, so I was hoping to condense the two intakes into one. I already have a bunch of 1" PVC in the garage :)

I already have two AC100's and a VIA AQUA 750 on the tank. I think I have mechanical covered.
