I bought this filter brand new less than 2 weeks ago and it was almost silent until today. I wasn't home, but apparently my apartment complex had a 45 min power outage. It's still working fine, doesn't look like it lost prime, but now it is def louder than before. I can hear it clearly from my bed across the room when before I wouldn't notice it. This is making me crazy, any ideas?

Try taking the lid off and see if impeller lid is loose.
