Ok so i got my 220 gallon last night. I have a 2217, and 2 Fx5's. I dont plan on using all 3 mostly because of hydro reasons.

Would a 2217 and an fx5 be enough or should i just hook up 2 fx5's.

I plan on keeping 4 to 5 fish. Combination of Arowana, Stingray and Bass.

2 FX5

It would be easy to maintain 2 filter of the same kind since the procedures are the same

In all seriousness why not keep all 3? what dou you mean hydro reasons?

What I would do, is get an extra 55 - 75 tank and use the eheim on it!!

I would hook up all 3. I don't understand what you mean by hydro reasons.

You could run a Fx5 and a 2217. 70 watts for about 800 GPH. Or you could run 2 Fx5s 100 watts for 1200 GPH.

buddy the two Fx5's together and your good to go..
