eheim 2217 good choice?

hey guys, i just bought a new eheim 2217 can filter and wanted to know if anyone has one and what they think about it?

I got a 2215 and I love it. Does a great job with bio filtration. What size tank is it on?

I found these filters have great bio and polishing yet some what lack in the flow department. They do best with a good mechanical power filter like the aqua clear series. I teamed mine up with an ac110 and my water is invisible 24/7 .

Also have a look at the longest lasting equipment sticky thread at the top of this sub forum. Lots of people have owned these and ran them continuously for decades

I have 2 2217s on my 150 and a 2213 on my 30...both work great

They are a decent filter I own (4) 2217's. The flow rate is poor, even less than advertised.

I've got a 2217 and I love it I'm going to run it on the 90 gal I built along with a cascade 300, the eheim is quiet and keeps the water crystal.

sweet, i had a cascade 1500 but i was very disappointed in it. the 2217 will run on my 75 gal.

If you rate on dependability, performance, and price, it is probably the best canister filter ever built.
