I just bought a new Eheim 2217. I checked with the posts about caring for it and I believe it's assembled correctly. Only difference is that it didn't come with the media bag everyone is talking about. I'll get one of those later. I tried running it after assembly and I get a small leak around the canister and power head. The instructions are horrible that came with it and the pictures I've been able to find look like mine. Any suggestions??

Try rubbing a small amount of Vaseline or food grade silicone lubricant around the rubber seal. Sometimes the seal is a bit dry or gets stretched when seating. The lube will help it seat better.
