Eheim 2217

Hi All,

I have a eheim 2217 canister filter on one of my puffer tanks, that's started to sound a lot louder that it used too. I have recently changed the impeller and shaft, but this has made little difference.
There are no kinks in the hose and it has all its rubber feet...

Does anyone know why this filter might be making noise.

As you've replaced the most obvious parts its possable that there is wear in the motor housing where the impeller motor sits.

Do you have sand for a substrate?

Yes I do...

Possable that some has got through and damaged the motor housing then. If you take out the motor and shine a torch you may be able to look for scoring on the inside.
