Hi all my 2227 wet dry function stopped working last year but it kept filtering like a normal filter so I left it . Today after nearly a year I bought the float foam bit I needed to fix it .
The float works perfect my problem being when the float shouts off no water comes out ? Then 30 secs it works pushing the water out fast which is normal but after a year i can't remember if that's meant to happen ? Hope this makes sence .
It seems to be working like a wet and dry filling up then emptying is this right . Thanks

30 seconds sounds a bit long but if it is filling and emptying, you should be OK.

Have you done a thorough cleaning of the filter components and the hoses/tubing? Sometimes I have to fiddle with my 2229 when I replace parts or clean it to get it to operate 'normally'.
