I wanted to ask if anybody is familiar with the canister and how I could take off that wet dry side canister and plug up the small hole on top and the bottom hole and use it as a regular canister?

Did you want to try this because you can't get the float housing to stop leaking or just because you want to use it as a regular canister filter?
I can't get the thing to stop leaking, having it as a full time canister would create more water flow and be fine. I do not want to spend money on the 2 gray cllips, plus the bottom there is a small chip as well on the green wet/dry housing.
