Eheim 2260 Pump Mounting plate

Hi,

I have just got my 2260, and i am trying to get the mounting plate off the pump so i can mount it sideways on the top of the canister to reduce the height required so it will fit under my stand.

I know the mounting plate comes off but i cannot work out how to get it off! - I have seen people do it on here so i know it can be done!!!

Funny thing, just as i posted this, i gave one final shove and it slid off!!!!

They get sick sometimes. I have one dinner that requires me to tap it with a flathead screw driver and a hammer everytime but the other 4 slide right off

I used a hammer with a rubber head to loosen it. Keep the pump vertical on top of something and hammer away but not too hard.

YEah thanks guys, like i said in the 2nd post, just as i hit post on this thread i gave one last big push with my hands and it came loose!!
