I picked up an eheim 2262 for my 125 gallon recently. I'm still setting everything up and wondering what the minimum stand height needs to be to house this beast.

Anyone out there with a 2262 who can offer some insight?

Thanks.

Mine is 24 inches tall. you need at least 26 inches to clear the outtake hose.

wow thanks. I think i will def turm my motor sidways.

I shoehorned mine into a 20" stand. A tight fit, but doable. Simply mount the pump off the canister lid.

I took the pump off the 2262 canister lid (I tossed its cap and its green pump platform) and instead mounted the pump 3 feet away from the canister. I kept the 90-deg elbow coming up from the canister, but now it enters a 1" PVC flexible hose that runs horizontally to the pump. The pump is now separately mounted to the roof of my stand (using its grey platform), about level with the top of the canister lid, so it all remains self-priming during water-changes. Flexible PVC hose also runs from the pump back to the tank too.

I like the flexibility of this Eheim design. It rocks!
