I have a quick question. I have a 55 gallon tank. Would an eheim ecco 2236, an AC110 and a powerhead be too much water circulation and filtration?

Depends what fish you have in there matey ;)

For piranhas you could have 10x that flow, for betta fish you wouldn't even need circulation..

Ok cool. I have some angels and gouramis.

whoa there.. Depending on the type of gourami... they dont mix with angels.. Are they the giant gourmai? Kissing gourami or dwarf gourmai?

A powerhead is ok.. but Angels dont really need powehead.. they are calm fish.. they prefer slow moving water.. kinda like discus..

But if u really want to.. u can..

I have one dwarf and one blue.

Thats what i thought.... ya.. u should be fine.. but I dunno if u need the powerhead...

But an ac110 and a 2236 is def enough... I have a similar setup... its a 60 gallon with ac110 and eheim 2228.. and i need that amount of filteration for the tank since i have 15 young plecos in there.. the bio load is necessary..
