which filter system should i go for?

I see many people that use a sump have super clear water but my main question is that running a sump is it better than a canister? if i go with the sump will i have any risk of water leak in the pipeline connection or overflow in the sump unit?

With any pump there is always risk of leaks even with canisters, although canisters are much easier to plug and play and that particular one is fantastic, I have to ask the size of tank its going on tho, sumps can be tailored to specific needs and monster tanks, but also require plumbing, pump etc.

Me personally, id go with the 2262, and I may actually pick one up soon for my 125.

well my tank is 210 running with 2 aqua clear 110

A wet/dry sump adds a huge amount of oxygen to the water. A canister adds none.

A properly designed sump isn't any more leak prone than a canister.

I like a combo of both personally. However, I would run a tank off a sump alone. Can't say the same for a canister...
