eheim classic or eheim pro 2 for my 75g?

75 gallon Rbp tank, will house some juvs, but will eventually be down to 3 adults.
I will be getting an AC 110 for sure, just can decide on the canister. The 2217 classic is 90$ cheaper and I could use that on decor for the tank etc. But the 2217 doesnt come with media trays. I also have read more leaking issues with the Pro 2 2028 that the classic. Help me decide. I'm getting an Eheim, only brand I will buy, but which one?

I have 2 (two) 2028's on my 125 gal, no leaking there, (the intake and outflow are customized too)

I will also be using a 2028 on my 75 gal tank

Howdy,

I have a 2217 on my 55 gal, with flow rate manually reduced. Great filter.

I had a 2228 (=pro I equivalent of 2028) on an 80 gal. Nice filter, too. But I actually like the simplicity of the Classic design better.

What others call outdated, I call time-proven.
