I am so bummed.

RIP after 19 years. Yep, that's right. My good ol' 2211 died after 6899 days of non-stop duty. :(

Got it back in the day for 99.90 German Mark (=EUR 51.07). Back then, there was only the Classic line:headbang2. I went to SuperPet in Hattersheim, Germany to get a new one. They said they don't carry old technology, and who in the world would want to buy such an archaic design? I told them I did, because it performed flawlessly for almost two decades. The salesman's jaw dropped as I walked out. They suck:thumbsdow. They also didn't allow me to take pics of their tanks to post on MFK. They're officially on my list of pet stores to boycott!!

Went to Zoopalast in Wiesbaden, had to upgrade to the 2213 because they didn't carry the 2211. Paid EUR 59, pretty much the same as 19 years ago. Now keep in mind inflation and the size upgrade - Eheims actually got cheaper!!!

19 years. It's earned the right to go under glass somewhere on your mantle. Cool tale.

WOW!!!

I still have a EHEIM 2213 that i'm currently using with the marking "Made in West Germany" I'm still using it today... But then the filter was not used for almost 15 if not more years...

Good to hear that eheim filters really does last...

I agree with the previous comment... I would definitely find replacement parts or something to give the 2211 life back...

Thanks for posting.. I didnt even know there WAS a 2211 that existed... always thought a 2213 was the base model...
