eheim ecco pro filter cleaining

I have the eheim ecco pro filter on about five tanks, i recently sold some fish so now that the tanks are empty and i am not expected to have more in them for at least a month i am not sure what to do with the filters. do I
1.completely clean the filters including the bio beads
2. clean the tank and not the beads (how do i store?)
3. keep the water in the filters and just let them sit
4. keep them running in the tank (dont really want to do)

Or any other suggestions. Thnx

If you plan on getting more fish in the next month, I would suggest that you continue to run the filter on at least one tank so as not to lose the good bacteria present in the filter.

Do not leave the water in the filter as it will become stagnant very quickly.

I completely clean and dry the filter and all its 'hard' media when I plan on storing for extended periods of time.
