Hi guys,

I just have a quick question.

I currently have a 150gal 5x2x2 tank
with a 2ft sump, and eheim 2217.

i was wondering if it would be better to change the 2217 for a eheim 2076?

any advice will be much appreciated.

What problems are you having that make you want to change your set-up?

2217 is classic model, proven milion times. However 2076 is something completely different - all kind of functions. If 2217 satisfies you needs 100%, why replace it? If you (just) want to fly on another planet Filter - buy 2076.

I just wanted to upgrade my filtration.

I tested my water last night and i believe the Nitrate levels were at about 40-80 i couldn't really tell which one it was.

A bigger filter won't reduce your nitrates.

You need to do water changes, dude!

Thanks, guess i will be needing to do water changes more frequently.
Since i reside in australia, we are currently experiencing some drought conditions.

Luckily it has been raining this spring and autumn.

Thanks again.

All the best
Hope you get some rain soon.
