Hi All,

Just after a bit of advice and some feedback. I am up for a new filter and I am tossing up between the 2028 and the 2076 I believe they both hold the same amount of media but the 2028 is rated at just over 264 GPH whilst the 2076 is rated just over 436 GPH. This filter will be going on a 180 Gal with a Green Aro, SPotted Gar and a few Bichirs being Ornat,Palmas and Delhezi along with 4 large clown loaches.
At the moment I am running 1 2028 and was running a 2228 as my second filter but the 2228 has died on me after 10 years of service. :(

I have to add that I am limited to under stand space thats why I have chosen these 2 filters and not the bigger Eheims or FX5 as they wouldn't fit.

You can get a replacement for the motor for the 2228 much cheaper than the new Pro II or pro3 e. Given your tank size I'd go with the 2076 as long as price is not an issue.

So true. A replacement motor would be a great cost saver. If you really want a new filter id go for the 2076. I don't own one but my brother does as a sole filter on his 125 and it works great.
