Eheim Media for my 2262 filter

Just a quick question , I have in my new Eheim 2262 filter the
5L Ehfimech
2 inch coarse filter sponge
8L Ehfisubstrat Pro
Can I still add 2L more of the Ehfisubstrat Pro
Or go with another sponge on top?

I would probably put another sponge in prior to the Ehfisubstrat Pro, especially if it was a finer pore sponge. Or you could use floss or Polyfil batting/fiberfil product to polish the water.

If you decide to use floss or Fiberfil material, it would be helpful to put it in a media bag to facilitate cleaning and prevent any small strands from being ingested by the pump. It also makes it extremely easy to remove from the filter when doing maintenance.

How high is the green screen with the small legs suppose to be? Will the cover push it down a little?
With 8L of my EhfiSubstrait Pro media it looks like I got another 2 1/2 inches to spare and I have 2x 1L Bags left of my total of 10L's that I order.
Where would be the best place to order a finer sponge , I've only have LFS that sells pond filter sponges , that's where I found my coarse one.

The filter lid will push the top lattice screen down a little bit but if you have to force the filter lid on, you risk the chance of breaking the legs of the top or bottom lattice screen.

I bought some Poret 20 PPI foam & cut it to fit my 2260's but you don't have to use a fine sponge. Filter floss or Polyfil in a media bag will also work as I stated above. I haven't see any finer sponge that has the diameter to fit these filters.
