On the spray bar, the long stick with holes on it, there's suppose to be a cap on the end of it but I dont remember where I put it. Is it ok to run the filter without it or should I reorder it somewhere?
I dont mind that the spraybar doesnt shoot water out of the holes, but just worried about if it effects the efficiency of the entire filter. What do you guys think? I also dont wanna touch another knife because the last time I tried something I almost cut alot of skin off lol. Any other suggestions?
If anything the filter will move more water since there's less resistance. But using them to agitate the surface is a good move since canisters consume so much oxygen.
If ya don't have filter floss or cotton balls, you can head to a hardware store and buy robber stoppers for 10-25 cents each.
Be careful about the rubber stoppers from hardware stores. They are made of crude oil. A local brew shop will be a better stop, they should have silicone stoppers in various sizes that are water potable, and food grade. If you don't want the spray bar, just put two elbows in, and omit the rest.
Or if you have some Aquarium Silicone just fill the end, leave to dry and that should do the trick too. Not having the bar will not effect the performance of the filter either.
