Eheim pro 3 2075 problem! Help Please!

Just took my pro 3 apart just for the average service. Put it back together and im getting no flow!

Sometimes it will be silent and knock now and then. Im guessing thats a completely dry impellar.

Sometimes it will be loud like there is air in the system. Guessing that there is partial amount of water in the impellar.

My friend had this same issue and fixed his 2080 by removing his sponge filters. I tried this with no success.

Another odd thing i have noticed. When I disconnect that valve bit there is a rushing air noise as though it is pressurising?!?! The In and Out are all not clogged at all though!

Im going mad. Ive never had this problem before. Any one got any experience with this?

I've had this before. One problem is that there is air trapped in your unit and the water isn't flowing in. The first step is to check that the input lines are full of water, then drain the return line so that air can escape for the canister. If you have done this and still no go then it could be the sealing ring around the impeller, had that happen on an older unit. Try rubbing petroleum jelly on the rubber seal and re-seating it. You may need to get a new one.

It was the input line. No idea how it got an airlock as its pretty much a sealed system. No problems now though!
