How big is the Eheim pro 2080?
I never seen the canister in person and my local fish shop don't even carry one of those on display. :help2:
 
Don't bother with the 2080. Search for older threads I started maybe in 2007. Mine can only support a 75 gal tank, and it needs modifications to prevent bypass of the media.

If you want Eheim, go with the Classic line, e.g. 2250, 2260, 2262

Agree with HarleyK, I haven't had anything but classic line but had many of those over the decades - rock solid and silent!

I've never heard of this mod, but as I have two Eheim 2080's I'm interested to find out.

Do you have any further information/photos/pictures on how to modify the 2080?

look into Harley K blog and past thread. This guy is like the Eheim god. He's a great resource
